Why upgrade?

Just as the technology in smartphones, cars and televisions continues to improve, Cochlear is constantly working to innovate hearing loss solutions to improve comfort, performance, and usability.

We design our sound processors to help you hear better. Directional hearing and new noise cancellation algorithms improve speech understanding in difficult listening situations. The system constantly monitors the nature of surrounding sounds and can automatically adapt your hearing to different environments, such as a school classroom, workplace, noisy restaurant, or a windy park. Easier communication with your surroundings and lower noise pollution will contribute to your overall well-being and decrease fatigue.

With our latest technology, you can stream audio from your smartphone or tablet directly to the sound processor. You will enjoy clear and comfortable listening during phone calls, video calls and music, or soundtracks while watching videos and movies.

Other opportunities are offered by our wireless accessories, which you can use to improve1 listening to television or speakers during classes, lectures, and presentations in large classrooms or auditoriums.

The new sound processors are smaller and lighter2, less noticeable, and more comfortable to wear. We offer multiple wearing options and a range of accessories, which will hold the sound processor securely during demanding physical activities and protect the device during swimming and water sports.

The application for mobile phones allows you to control sound processors and audio streaming easily and clearly, check the battery levels and the correct operation of your device. In cooperation with a clinical technician, you can remotely check your hearing and the technical condition of the entire system.

And all this is available without additional surgery. The Cochlear company never forgets even the users of older generations of implants, and their lifelong support is a matter of course for us. Thanks to new technologies, you can have more joy in life even with implants made 30 or 40 years ago.

“The improvements from one model to the next are very noticeable… there is an incredible improvement in the audio quality.”*1
